Medium patina and near cameo reverse appeal set this piece apart from the crowd. Relatively low proof mintage give inherant value and rarity to this sought after proof!

The U.S. Half Dollar (1972 to date) was heavily used in the 20th Century and exceeded its face value in the 1960s, when the price of silver increased. The expansive list of designs includes Flowing Hair, with leaves under each wing, followed by the Draped Bust, Small Eagle Reverse and Heraldic Eagle Reverse. Capped Busts followed, with lettered edge and reeded edge. The Liberty Seated comes in five varieties - no motto above eagle, arrows at date and rays around eagle, arrows at date and no rays, motto above eagle, and arrows at date. Other Half Dollar designs include Barber (or Liberty Head), Liberty Walking, Franklin, and Kennedy.
