Early Dimes are considered as Dimes that were minted between the years 1796 and 1837. Early Half Dimes were struck in different varieties, such as Draped Bust Small Eagle Reverse (1796-1797), Draped Bust Large Eagle Reverse (1798-1807), and Capped Bust (1809-1837). These varieties are composed of .8924 Silver and .1076 copper. Most of the Early Dimes have low mintage, therefore making them rare and extremely sought after.
